DoNova® Textile Chain

The textile chain DoNova® consists of chain links made of several layers of webbing with the high-performance fiber Dyneema®. This creates unique advantages, because DoNova® is just as tear-resistant as a high-strength steel chain, but has up to 85% less dead weight.

With DoNova, the Dyneema® webbing is interlocked and sewn in a so-called Möbius ring. DSM is the inventor and manufacturer of UHMWPE fiber (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene), which is marketed under the Dyneema® brand, the world's strongest fiber™. Measured by weight, Dyneema® is 15 times stronger than carbon steel and up to 40% stronger than aramid fibers.
