Cramaro Tarp-All Rolling Tarp System – Product Overview

DISPLAYED PRICE IS AN ESTIMATE: Price will vary based on configurations, such as height, bulkhead options, curtain style, etc. After you order or submit for quote, we will provide a detail sheet to collect information about your trailer and your preferences for the finished system, and your quote will be updated accordingly. Over or under charges will be resolved before finalizing and shipping your order.

The Cramaro Tarp-All™ is a retractable rolling tarp system designed for flatbed trailers and similar applications where loads need to remain accessible while still being protected from weather.

At its core, the system allows you to load and unload like a standard flatbed, then quickly enclose the load with a rolling tarp structure. This eliminates the need to climb on the deck or handle loose tarps, while still maintaining flexibility for different types of freight.

Operation

The system is built for one-person, ground-level operation.

To open:

  • Release the rear flap cams
  • Roll up the rear flap
  • Release tarp tension
  • Push the system forward along the track

To close:

  • Pull the system back over the load
  • Reapply tension
  • Secure the rear flap

The entire process typically takes a few minutes, depending on trailer length and conditions.

The tarp moves on aluminum trolleys riding inside a C-channel track, which helps keep debris out and reduces binding during operation.

Construction & Materials

  • Frame: Lightweight aluminum structure
  • Track system: Heavy-duty extruded aluminum with stainless steel roller surfaces for durability and low wear
  • Trolleys: Aluminum with steel inserts at stress points to maintain rigidity over time
  • Tarp: One-piece RF-welded vinyl construction for a continuous, weather-tight cover
  • Reinforcement: Double- and triple-reinforced wear areas

The system is designed to be weatherproof and leak-resistant, with a sealed tarp structure and tensioning system that helps keep the cover tight in transit.

Loading & Access

One of the key functional differences from traditional tarping is full load access.

  • No internal posts or braces interfering with cargo space
  • Load from the side, rear, or top
  • System compacts forward to clear the deck when open

This makes it well suited for freight that requires forklift access or multiple loading angles.

Locking & Tensioning

  • Front locking system: Cam-lock design secures trolleys in multiple positions
  • Rear tensioning device: Maintains tarp tightness across the load
  • Dual locking mechanisms: Help prevent unintended movement during transit

The locking system is designed so components do not intrude into the load space, reducing interference during loading.

Configuration & Fitment

The Tarp-All system is available in multiple configurations to suit different trailer types and hauling needs.

  • Available in multiple heights and lengths
  • Compatible with flatbeds, step decks, tilt-bed tow trucks, delivery trucks, rail cars, and other applications
  • Optional headboard configurations, including optional doors and nose cone designs
  • Rear flap styles available with crank or rope-and-pulley operation
  • Custom colors, graphics, and branding options available

Use Case

The system is designed for operations where loads vary in size or type, frequent loading and unloading is required, and weather protection is needed without giving up the accessibility of a flatbed.

Common freight includes:

  • Lumber
  • Metal products
  • Machinery
  • Weather-sensitive materials

Summary

The Cramaro Tarp-All is best understood as a practical middle ground between a flatbed and an enclosed trailer:

  • Open when you need full access
  • Covered when you need weather protection
  • Operated from the ground by one person
  • Built for repeated daily use with low maintenance requirements

It is a mechanical tarping system designed to reduce manual handling, preserve loading flexibility, and provide more consistent protection for loads in transit.

INSTALLATION: This system takes an estimated 30 hours to install. Installation can be performed at our shop in Ware Shoals, SC, or at the manufacturer's facility.
